Gente Oil Ecuador incorporates permanent magnet motors

Technological innovation for greater operational efficiency and sustainability

Gente Oil Ecuador continues promoting the modernization of its operations in Block 53 - Singue Field, with the implementation of permanent magnet motors in the electrosubmersible pumps of the Singue B-14 well. This technological advance is part of the energy optimization and continuous improvement strategy that the company carries out in all its processes.

Permanent magnet motors (PMM) represent an evolution in artificial lift systems because of their ability to:

  • Significantly reduce energy consumption compared to conventional motors.
  • Improve operational efficiency by reducing electrical losses.
  • Optimize the useful life of the equipment by operating more stably and at lower temperatures.
  • Contribute to sustainability by generating fewer indirect emissions by reducing energy demand.

Commitment to innovation

This implementation in the Singue B-14 well marks a milestone for Gente Oil Ecuador on its path towards a more efficient, competitive and environmentally responsible operation. The company remains committed to state-of-the-art technologies that strengthen productivity and promote sustainable oil development in the country.
