Committed to the environment
Environmental sustainability is an essential part of the way we operate; we implement practices that minimize impact, protect ecosystems and promote a harmonious relationship with nature. We adopt concrete measures to care for ecosystems, such as the rehabilitation of disturbed areas, the protection of native flora and fauna, and the strengthening of an environmental culture among the GOE team and neighboring communities.
In addition, we implement campaigns that are part of our environmental strategy, aligned with our sustainability policy and in strict compliance with applicable regulations.
- Biotic monitoring
- Noise and emission control
- Carbon footprint management
- Wildlife rescues
- Resource optimization and waste reduction
- Environmental education and sustainability with local stakeholders
- Air quality monitoring

- As part of our commitment to responsible development, the company is making a strategic investment for the progressive shutdown of the lighter in Block 53. This initiative prioritizes the use of associated gas, which will be used for power generation, significantly reducing emissions and optimizing the use of resources. It is projected that the lighter will be completely shut down by 2028, marking a key step towards a more efficient and sustainable operation.
- As part of our sustainable strategy and the protection of water resources, we implement rigorous monitoring of effluents, nearby bodies of water and groundwater to prevent any type of contamination. We have contingency systems for spills, applying efficient technology and timely responses that minimize environmental risks. In addition, we do not carry out industrial discharges, since the formation water is treated and re-injected, guaranteeing responsible management of water resources. The muds and cuttings generated during drilling are delivered to authorized environmental managers, who ensure proper treatment and safe final disposal.
