In Block 53, Gente Oil Ecuador has implemented a technology aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, focused on optimizing electricity generation and reducing environmental impacts.

The use of associated gas via a microturbine makes it possible to convert an available resource into an efficient energy source, reducing dependence on external fuels and improving control over emissions and energy consumption.

The results are clear: a reduced carbon footprint, elimination of air emissions, lower noise levels, and greater energy efficiency.

The initiative was recognized at the 2026 Sustainability Summit as a standout example for its contribution to climate action within the sector.
