SEMINAR - ENAEP 2025: How Can Ecuador Increase Its Oil Production?
As part of the event organized by SEMINARIUM-ENAEP 2025, Silvana Pástor, Vice President of Gente Oil Ecuador, participated as a panelist in the forum titled “How to Increase Ecuador’s Oil Production?” During this discussion, she shared her strategic vision for the country’s energy future.
In his presentation, he emphasized that Ecuador can attract responsible investment and increase its oil production by taking firm and concrete steps, taking into account factors such as:
- Legal and operational certainty, with stable rules that build trust.
- Efficient and transparent institutional processes that eliminate obstacles and speed up decision-making.
- A modern legal and contractual framework that encourages both exploration and enhanced recovery in mature fields.
- Competitive contracts, because there is no better contract than one that is honored by all parties.
- Robust ESG standards as the foundation for environmental and social sustainability.
- Innovative financing, including green bonds and energy transition mechanisms.
- A well-conceived Amazon Law that combines environmental protection with responsible development.
- A government committed to ensuring the safety and continuity of operations and the workforce in the field.
Gente Oil Ecuador has proven this throughout its 13 years of operation;
more than 15 million barrels produced from 16 wells, and a future that is expanding with 15 additional wells in Block 53.
The country has extraordinary geological potential. With vision, appropriate incentives, and a solid institutional framework, we can transform that potential into sustainable development and real progress for Ecuador.
